About GRVL Cycling

Hey, it’s Arlon here, some call me ArMan.

Anyhoo, I launched GRVL Cycling in the earliest days of the gravel craze, way back in 2011. My intent was to present fun-focused gravel rides, not races, in a welcoming environment. The approach I developed was, “Friends on Bikes” and that philosophy endures.

We started with Raid Rockingham,THEN added Raid Lamoille,

and, most recently, the Kearsarge Klassic. Oh, we had the FattyFest fat bike series for 5 winters (there’s gravel under that snow) and also helped create the King Challenge, a charity road ride (with an homage gravel segment) headlined by former pro and gravel ambassador extraordinaire, Ted King. Will we add more events in the future? Will FattyFest return? Stay tuned.

Across the years we’ve hosted over 6,000 riders at our events.

By current standards our rides are considered small but we like it that way, where we get a chance to personally connect with most of the riders. The high-profile, corporate-owned gravel races have their place but if you’re looking for a personal challenge ride, some quirkiness along the way with great food and drink afterward then GRVL Cycling is for you.

We’re about community

Each of our events aligns with one or more local non profits, supporting them through the donation of a portion of registration fees or contributing to them for their help at the ride. In doing this we’ve created many meaningful relationships, our riders appreciate this too!

So join us, come along for the ride!
